I've fallen behind a bit on my blog entries (somehow... even though i'm off work! It must be all the busyness) but we managed to get a mini date day in at the beginning of the month. Aleksys parents watched Logan and we headed down to Port Stanley for the evening. We started with trying to find a good place for supper - we wanted to do the old wharf at Port Stanley but it closed down and there didnt seem to be anything similar to replace it. We tried GTs on the beach, but live music is sometimes too loud for a date day supper, so we ended up at the Buccaneer restaurant, which was basically a patio in the parking lot, but it was so busy! We got the last table and there was a line up right beside us for the entire meal.
We had no idea why all these people wanted there so badly. Our service was sub-par and the food was edible with nothing more to say than that. And weirdly enough, the population of people wanting to go to this dive restaurant seemed to be over 65! I don't know what was going on with the people of Port Stanley that night, but they were the best people watching bunch and we laughed he whole time we people watched!
So after our disappointing fish and chips eaten in a parking lot, we made up for our dining experience by grabbing second supper and having Mackies on the beach.

Such a satisfying make up meal of french fries, mackies sauce and ketchup and a hot dog!
And because theres always room for dessert, Shaws on the way home!
