Florida 2018: Days 4 & 5

Day 4 (Tuesday) was our Magic Kingdom day! I was so pumped for this day and also a little anxious about how I would do being 29 weeks and out in the sun and on my feet for 12 hours. My OB also suggested I try to take it easy on the vacation because I apparently am at a heightened risk to have my water break early due to a short cervix. But no baby was had in Florida thank goodness.

We left in the morning around 10am to head to Disney and started the process of entering the park - parking, train to the ticket booth, getting tickets, then tram to the park - and with all that we got here at about 11:30am. It's quite the process to get to the park. And this was a busy day!
Once we got the the park, Steph, Jon and Rachel headed off to do their own thing and we headed straight for the castle. Logan was really excited to see the castle (despite his face in this picture)!
Ice cream is pretty much the first thing we did! We stopped at a little ice cream shop right by the castle.

And this is the stroller that we rented from the park for the day - Logan was in it for maybe 20% of the day. He quite preferred to push it.
Family selfie by the castle after ice cream.

And after going through the castle, our first spotted ride was the carousel so we parked our stroller and went on the horsies!

After the carousel, we headed over to Storybook Circus so Logan could go on the Dumbo ride that we remember Rachel loved when she was at Disney last time. There were lots of 2 year old friendly rides in that area so we thought it'd be a good place to start.
Waiting in line for the Dumbo ride is pretty awesome because instead of waiting in a line, they have a play area so the kids play while waiting to go on the ride! We just waited until out number was called and Logan was happy the whole while!
Logan loved the Dumbo ride because he could move the elephant up and down with the control.
Somehow with just going on the carousel, taking a quick sit break/diaper change, going on the Dumbo ride, then Logan splashing in a little splash water area, we had already been at the park for almost 3 hours so we had to grab some late 2:30pm lunch. We were in Storybook Circus to had to walk back to Pinnicios house for some lunch - food spots never seem close when you need them!

It was typical Disney choosings - Logan liked his chicken nuggets and even ate his pouched apple sauce (never happens), I got a chicken parm sandwich and fries and Aleksy tried the salad, the healthier option, which was a pretty sad $10 salad.
We left lunch just in time to find a spot to watch the 3pm parade! This was a first for all 3 of us and the most energetic, done up parade (because Disney...). Logan loved the music and the floats even if we weren't front row centre.
After the parade, we grabbed our fast passes for the day: one for its a small world, one for buzz lightyear and one for pirates of the Caribbean. We had a bit of time before our Its a small world ride so ice cream stop #2 of course! And more $3 water bottles - we probably spent $50 on water that hot day.

Note by this time, Logan's "normal" nap time had come and gone and he hadn't shown the faintest sign of napping. Again, because... Disney.
It was pretty awesomely quick getting on its a small world! Logan declined to take off his hat and sunglasses on this ride and watched the whole thing with some UV protection.

This is one of the classics!
After it's a small world, we went into a little tiki house where we watched the flowers, birds and everything in the room sing and dance and then after that we ran into the end of another parade (or this one they call street festival) where goofy and all the characters stole our attention and another stop was necessary!

There were a couple options for stops to meet characters during the day. Cinderellas mice and Buzz were both right in front of us but we figured the line was not worth the crankiness of a 2 year old and we would wave at them and pass instead!
Then it was time for our fastpass Buzz Lightyear ride! We are now sure that the score they keep on hitting targets cannot be accurate because Logans was pretty high!

He also chose to wear his glasses for this ride.
There wasn't much time until our next fastpass - the pirates of the Caribbean (somehow it was already 7pm by this time). I knew about the drop in this, but didn't seem to remember how big it was. Probably not the best for pregnancy but we survived!

Logan didn't say he was scared, but I think he was a bit at times. But liked the boats!
By the time we finished the pirates of the carribean, it was 7:45pm and both Logan and I were tired so we decided to grab some "supper" and a seat. By "supper" I mean pretzel for me and "genetically engineered" cheese dip (which I dipped sparingly because it basically has cancer in the name!).
All Logan wanted was apple slices and to eat Aleksys turkey leg.
Does my child look tired at all?
We were trying to figure out a way to meet Steph, Jon and Rachel at this point so we could watch the fireworks together, but it was really hard to coordinate due to the million people in the park.

This place that we grabbed our evening meal was pretty great  -they had healthier options like apple slices and earlier in the day we got some grapes too! Logan is all about the fruit so this was perfect.
We managed to get a pretty good, close to the front but on the side spot to watch the fireworks. We were close enough to the front that the people in front of us were sitting so we sat throughout it!

Logan was so tired and lovey by this 8:30pm time but still pushing through.
And the fireworks show was amazing as always and Logan liked it so much he was awake until the last 5 minutes of it!
After the fireworks, there's the fun of trying to get out of the park with a million other people all at the same time! I later got a tip from my daycare provider that they just go back on a couple rides and wait for this craziness to pass... brilliant! Just the sleeping child friendly ones...
Everything was going great as we waited 45 minutes to an hour to get out of the park and Logan slept on Aleksys shoulder but then as soon as we got in line for the ferry, Logan woke up and pretty much cried until we got on the boat 20 minutes later! Im sure we made for a pleasant experience for those around us.

He thought it was pretty cool once we were on the boat and could see the castle over the water.

After grabbing the train back to our car, Logan passed out in the car immediately and we got home around 10:30-10:45pm.

Day 5: Shopping Day!
On Wednesday, Aleksy joined Jon on the morning Dunkin run and Logan, Aleksy and I all got some iced drinks... Its like an iced drink Dunkin family!

There was a lot of Dunkin consumed this vacation... and I may have eaten like 5 sprinkle donuts and all Logans mini donuts he refused to eat.
We were a little slow to get out to the outlet mall that morning and by the time we left it was 11am and Logan was exhausted from the day before and waking up at 6:30am! So Jon, Steph and Rachel went shopping and we ended up staying in the car with our sleeping boy and making a 7 eleven pit stop for a Big Gulp and some tequitos.
Once he woke up, it was shopping time and one of these car ride ins was necessary! His tablet was also super handy for our shopping success. We ended up with some matching Levis shirts, a new watch for Aleksy, some lululemon for both of us, I got lots of new earrings.

After a few hours of shopping, we headed home and made arrangements to meet Steph, Jon and Rachel at Joes Crab Shack for supper... because we love it there!
We had a little detour when we ended up at different Joes crab shacks but ended up at the same spot in the end. I didn't even realize from other times that we went that there was a playground outside the restaurant so they could play while we waited for our dinner!
So good every time... and bibs to top it off.

My margarita kinda sucked but my fish, rice, and shrimp mac and cheese were awesome! And the pots never disappoint... I just dont like working for my food and I eat bits of Aleksys.
The family Joes crab shack experience.
Logan came for the corn. He even had an extra after he ate the one that came with his meal.
The after Joes swim session. This excited face is because he was spraying Rachel and Aleksy!

And this was one of the nights we actually stayed up late! Were up until past 12am talking by the pool even though we had bright and early plans to head to Cocoa beach. Party animals.
