My Bachelorette Weekend of Madness!

My bachelorette weekend was July 25 - 27th. It all started Friday evening when Chels met me at my place and my sister picked us up around 6pm. Then we headed to our cottage in Grand Bend!

We got to the cottage around 8pm on the Friday (the drive took a while because both Chels and I forgot stuff and had to back track!). When we got to the cottage, my MOH Nikki was already there, was 2 drinks in and had set everything up so it looked like bachelorette threw up everywhere in the cottage (as Nik put it). This was the table set up when I got there with bachelorette cups for the weekend, drinks, and attire.
After some drinks in our cottage, some flip cup & beer pong games with our neighbours, we got dressed and ready to go out! But before that, we had to get a pic! These were all my girls for night #1: my bridesmaids and MOH! And despite what it looks like, colour coordination wasn't organized!
While some of us were outside playing a little beer pong, Andzelika arrived to the cottage and brought a penis cake. Because a bachelorette party wouldn't be complete without a penis cake... Then Nikki was put in charge of putting it in the fridge. It didn't quite make it... but we did get a picture out of it!
This is the picture I chose to try to encompass all that was going on Friday night: lots of new friends, randomness, glow sticks, fun, and blurriness!

This is post Gables and pre after party at our cottage! We stayed up until about 3:30am on Friday night/Sat morning.
And the next morning we woke up around 10am and had the best breakfast of bachelorette history all made in our cottage! We had fruit salad, greek yogurt, eggs, and toast with PB and banana.

We dug out the hotplate and toaster from the cottage, which looked like they were from 1940 and Nikki started cooking the eggs. After the hotplate took 20 minutes to heat up, we had scrambled eggs! And the toaster just required for you to unplug it when you thought the toast was ready and then you pull it out with a knife.

The one thing that did not work well on the Saturday morning was the 1940 coffee maker, the coffee was not very delicious and we had no milk. A Tims run was a must after breakfast!
On our way to Tim's, we met up with Sam & Scarlett! We walked up the Grand Bend strip to Tim's since our 1940s coffee maker coffee would not do it for us. Then before heading to the beach, we stopped at the cottage.
We headed to the beach for Saturday afternoon and when we got there it was sunny and warm and then came the rain. It's times like this when you appreciate the sun blocking umbrella that was brought for baby Scarlett! We all huddled under the umbrella until the rain passed. Luckily for us, this was the only rain for the weekend and it lasted all of a minute!
All my beach ladies minus Chels, who is taking the picture! During a sunnier period... We did get some good sun in before heading back to the cottage for supper!
My bridesmaids did not mess around when it came to food. Our breakfast was gourmet, as was our supper. Saturdays supper consisted of BBQ burgers and chicken, 2 varieties of salads and grilled zuccini!
The food in our cottage was amazing: tons of fruit (I still don't know who brought the watermelon!), chips, 2 7 layer taco dips, hummus, spinach dip, cookies, ice cream... and lots of drinks. There was a lot of leftovers!
Me on night 2 outside our cottage with my sparkly bride cup and decorations! Among these decoration, the random condom which was on my bachelorette "list" of things to do (which apparently is a big thing and everyone asked us about). I had to ask around the bar for anyone who had one... and I got it from a girl at Gables (after several guys didn't have one).

If we would have thought about taking a group shot earlier in the night, this would probably be less blurry! This is everyone who made it out for Saturday night endeavors. Saturday night happened really fast, we were eating our delic BBQ super, when I was approached by the cottage beside us to do a tequila shot (that was like 7pm), then it just kept going from there... more flip cup, then we went to White Caps, and Gables both which were way busier than Fri night, so we headed back to the cottage around 1am. And continued the party will our cottage neighbours.
By cottage neighbours, I mean these people! Because of the set up of the cottages, its hard not to meet people because if you're standing outside, you're right beside the other cottagers so we just decided to all hang out together. But as the night progressed, the people became fewer and fewer. And at 5:30am, after going to the beach on 3 separate occasions, I headed for bed. But, Nikki, Steph, and Nicole stayed up for another half hour to watch the sun rise!

A crazy fun bachelorette weekend, that I am glad I did but know that I don't want to do again! The next morning we went to breakfast at the Colonial hotel (where we stayed for Cheslea's bachelorette), then after a long ride home, I had a 3 hour afternoon nap before volleyball, where I was not on my A game. I was so tired from this weekend, that I think it took until Tuesday to actually feel like myself again!
