A Night with Mr. Timberlake

For my birthday, Aleksy got us tickets to see Justin Timberlake in Toronto! It was so far in advance and I was pregnant at the time and I had no idea what they would be like with both Logan and Leah. We decided to split the kids up since they are both individually a lot of work so Leah went to Aleksys parents and my Mom came over to our place to stay with Logan for the night. In preparation for Leah being away from me and not yet having formula at that time, I pumped for weeks to accumulate enough milk for her for nearly 24 hours! We dropped Leah off the Tuesday the 9th around 2pm (Logan was being picked up from daycare).

We got an airbnb about a 20 minute walk from the ACC (is it budweiser stage now?) and it was pretty awesome... 40th floor, view of the lake. We dropped our things off and immediately went on a hunt for some food. We got tacos from the restaurant on the bottom of the condo building. They were good but small and expensive. We had food and a drink, pumped (well me) and then left around 7!
The tickets said the show started at 7:30 so we thought we were late and were worried about missing the opening. Meanwhile.. the bartender told us that JT himself wan't on until 9pm. So we had some time to kill. So we got some drinks and watched some of the DJs show and another opener that did mostly covers.

This was the signature cocktail for the evening... the sexyback!
Up in the nosebleeds but loving every second of it.
It's like you're my mirror... so amazing how each song had different effects.
The stage fully extending across the floor. The show wrapped up around 1130pm and we headed back to the airbnb. We had a few drinks at JT but not too many because I really wanted to go for a run downtown Toronto in the morning! Pumping and dumping was the saddest situation ever.
And out for a run before 7am! It was still dark when we left! It was so beautiful running by the water as the sun rose! A slower run but about 30 minutes!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving weekend was busy and full!

Using the apples that we picked the weekend before, I whipped up the classic apple crisp. Just for Aleksy and I. And we ate it in 2 days flat.
Saturday was thanksgiving at my Moms. In between supper and dessert, there was a bit of paw patrol in the basement to keep the 3 year old occupied. The baby is into it too.

Twins. I splurged to get Logan a trendy beanie and vest from a local lady who made her own clothing line and Im lucky if he'll put it on for 30 seconds... although twinning helped him keep it on this day!
These are morning couch snuggles. Typical... Leah loving Logan intensely and Logan watching tv.
Sunday morning we visited the pumpkin patch up the road from us to get our festive pumpkins and some other festive looking produce. We go here pretty much every year!
Squatting because his Dads squatting. And a massive pumpkin.
Logan was in charge of the wagon and filling it with the items that he could lift in. He did a pretty good job of gathering small pumpkins, some corn, and squash.

When we left the pumpkin patch and loaded up the car, we missed a platter that was Aleksy's Moms on top of the car and drove away with it on top. It smashed down onto the road when we drove away and we are still scarred from it... feeling horrible that the glass was in traffic and also that Lorraines platter that she uses all the time smashed!
And later that day was thanksgiving at Aleksys parents. After supper we went for a walk to the neighbourhood park. Logan was a fan.
We brought his bike so he rode to the park! Right between Michelle and David.
And labour day Monday, we went for a day trip to St Marys. We love it there! Lots of awesome parks right along the water. This was our first park stop after a stop at Timmies because all the cute coffee shops were closed for labour day.
Good times in St. Marys... tongue out and all.
After playing at the park and going for a bit of a walk to the waterfall, it was picnic lunch time so we got a spot close to the water and had some lunch!

At the waterfall.
