Logan & Mommy Day

On Friday, I took Logan out of daycare and planned to have some good one on one time with him. It's a weird feeling to drop Logan off during the days when I'm off and have the whole day to myself (I do need the time to chill and keep baby where she is) so this was such a nice guilt-free quality time day!

We started the day off right with Logan's ever so loved blueberry pancakes. A treat from the usual oatmeal or monkey wraps (PB & banana) he usually has for breakfast!
And after breakfast and getting ready, we headed to Storybook Gardens for the day! I tried to get there close to opening, so we got there about 10:15am - just as tons of buses were coming in and a line out the castle had formed! Busy day at Storybook. But pretty reasonable admission at just $15 for the 2 of us.

Logan had an awesome time playing in the playground in the back, but wanted to go down the massive slides (of course), so I had to distract him away from there because I couldnt go up to the top with him and be at the bottom of the slide when he got down. That was going to be lost child for sure. Riding frogs was much safer!
The bouncing pillow was closed this day, which worked to my advantage because I am in no condition for bouncing...

Logan loved playing in the village with the little houses and would switch around based on where the least amount of kids were. He liked to have access to the toys in the houses like this little animal hospital one.
He wanted to play with the hose in the fire station house so badly but it was taken by the other kids!

I distracted him by suggesting we go to the splash pad. He was on board.
Logan is exactly 36 inches and just tall enough to go down the water slide! He loved it and went down twice. He needed some support in line though with all the big kids who wanted to cut in front of poor little 2 year old Logan.
Logan's favourites: anything that sprays water at other people. This was his favourite last year too!
And after finishing up at the splash pad, Logan was hungry and tired... tired so much that he even agreed to going into the stroller to find a lunch spot. We settled for the tables and chairs right by the entrance since all the picnic tables were taken by the schools, especially the shaded ones!
And then got a classic Storybook Humpty dumpty picture on our way out!
